I originally bought this for my daughters teacher because they needed a new one in class, and after thinking about it we needed one as well so I decided to purchase one for home! It was the best decision ever!!! Worth every penny and it was a great price!! Literally sharpened a pencil in like 2 seconds and you can hear once it’s done sharpening the pencil!! I haven’t had it long but I can’t see it breaking anytime soon. My daughters teacher loves it as well and she’s got 20 1st graders using it constantly and she said it works perfectly!! Highly recommend!!

Update! The company immediately reached out and replaced the shaving tray. There is definitely a plastic piece that you will want to baby, so don’t let your kids slam the tray in and out! This worked great while it worked. This stopped working a few months back, so we are probably lucky if we got a year out of it. My guess is that there is a Plastic thing on the back of the shavings collector that tells the sharpener it is in since it looks like something broke off. So it will not run at all. These things cost too much to be made in such a disposable way.

I wanted an old school pencil sharpener. This satisfied all my expectations of what an old school pencil sharpener should be like. Oh the nostalgia of the old school pencil sharpener. This literally has changed my coloring game. I didn’t realize how much small handheld pencil sharpeners sucked until I got one of these bad boys. It’s unbelievably smooth too.

i like how it has two sharpening surfaces, good product for the price, blades very sharp, the pencil diameter size changing wheel is a little hard to turn, you have to sortof pull it as you turn. doesn't sharpen exactly centered though but can compensate by letting the pencil spin slowly while sharpening
