Great product! Showed up early for me. Wanted to give other shoppers some size comparisons. Specifically on the crochet hooks. They are all the same length, and shorter than the average crochet hook you would find in store. In the photo of the hooks, on the left are the hooks I received from this package. On the right are 2 of my personal hooks, the metal and the pink. The tan hook on the left and the metal hook on the right are the same hook size, but the one from this package is shorter. Just something to be aware of. For me a longer hook has a better feel in my hand. It’s easier to hold and to manage. For a beginner, and children, this is not an issue.

It’s said to come with a storage container and the beginners guide which is a huge reason why I ordered this. I did not receive the storage caddy or the guide. So now I’m sitting on YouTube trying to figure out how to begin. It also sucks that the size of the yard isn’t listed anywhere. I know when you buy yarn at the store it’s got the size and what needle to use. Here I’m flying blind. Hopefully it’ll still keep me occupied while on maternity leave. Just going to be doing a whole lot more researching than I had imagined with this beginners pack.

I liked how there were so many colors in this set. The skeins are pretty small so you can’t do much with each one. Also there wasn’t enough instruction for beginners. She had to watch online tutorials to learn how to crochet.

I thought this would be a great gift for a member of my family. I realized the balls of yarn would be small, but not THIS small. I paod just shy of $70 CAD for this. Technically as advertised, but be aware of the actual size of product. For scale, this is my hand against the entire carrying case displayed in the add with everything it advertises inside.
