I have a full- sized studio easel, but I wanted something to take out for plein air. At first I got a beautiful full- box French easel, but it weighed 22 lbs. (10kg) and with all of the other gear I carry when we hike, and how big and bulky French easels are (I had to strap it to the outside of my frame pack), it was too much. These little easels are about 1.6 pounds (0.75 kg) each, so that's a big win. The setup was intuitive, but not like any easel I've used before. It is a little awkward to have to remove the mast and take off the lower ledge if one wants to change its location (otherwise the front legs have to come in) and I put the mast on backwards the first time (that comes in handy for panels- you can pinch the ground with the pin on the back and reach all of the field), but otherwise the adjustments are nice. I can't stand and paint at this easel, but I stand enough at work-I'll just take a seat when I'm painting. Overall, worth what I paid.
Fantastic design at a wonderful price. Easy to assemble and well thought out details. Great variation possibilities. Though not the sturdiest in the world what do you want for such a great price. VERY VERY HAPPY. I bought 10 and will use for displaying my artwork.
Great quality! Perfect for standing or table top items. Nice and compact for storage.
The feet are a little small so they might sink into a lawn.
The near exact thing I needed to teach the kids I mentor what art tools they will need, whether it be drawing, painting or displaying their work.
It was used for a funeral service
This stand is pretty flimsy. I was a bit disappointed but keeping it anyway.
The item is as advertised but the instructions aren’t that great. Just pictures and you you have to figure out how to work it. Tested it out does work well, takes extra time to figure it out. There is bag with some screws, still don’t know what they are for.
