I got this for Christmas. I live in Michigan and so far since I have had the car we have had snow, rain, sunny days and freezing rain. I also have a 12 year old German Shepherd who loves RC cars. So I have driven it in the rain and snow, over ice, grass, pavement, puddles, etc. The ability to drive this in the wet conditions has been awesome. My dog can no longer run, but she still gets super excited to go outside and play with it. She kind of trots behind it the best she can and tries to nip at it when it goes around her. The car has been very stable while driving. We have gentle sloped curbs around my house and it handles them like a champ. I did hit a tree once at a fairly good clip and it chipped off part of the body shell. That is typical with any RC car. Driving it on icy pavement is a hoot. Spinouts, doughnuts, drifting, you name it. The 4wd.
Bought one for my 9-year old's Christmas. He loves it. We read through the instruction manual together and he had no problem with the controls. He's been enjoying it at the lower speeds to get used to how it handles -- ramping it up over small bumps like from grass to blacktop, racing over fresh macadam, gravel, and bumping into tree roots. He's tried to run it up a tree before, it usually flips over and keeps on going. Pretty sturdy. My older son was a little jealous, so used all his birthday money to buy one for himself. Alas - karma - he wanted to race it against his brother's; but to my understanding, the trucks got too close to each other during the race and interlocked wheels; and one of the pieces of his undercarriage broke, so the wheel came off. Thankfully it was a clean snap and I believe we're able to purchase a replacement piece for $16, but pretty disappointing nonetheless. These trucks are made to withstand 20-30mph bumps and speed, but I imagine when there's another vehicle travelling at a similar velocity, there must have been a torque problem -- nearest I can figure. We'll see how they both hold up. Handling is great, a pretty sturdy little machine -- but sort of a bummer that one of them must bow to the other if you've got a couple of boys wanting to race and compete with them. They're definitely not Destruction Derby type cars (remember that computer game from the 90's?!!).
LAEGENDARY did it again! This 1:16 scale RC car from them is nothing but pure adventure. I’ve known the company for quite some time now since I also purchased my first RC car from them. I got their 1:10 scale RC car and it is the best purchase I ever had. The car is still doing great and the customer service of the company is outstanding. I am still enjoying my LEGEND car at its full potential but I had to purchase another RC car for my kids, preferably smaller than mine. So upon knowing that LAEGENDARY offers now their 1:16 scale truck, I waste no time buying not only one but two of them! And they did not disappoint. Not only it is equipped with two rechargeable batteries but it also has a double battery connector!! My boys are having a blast with their cars, racing up to 80m range at an incredible speed for about 40 minutes! I even joined them and it is the best feeling ever! I am a very satisfied Dad! Worth every dollar I spent! Good job LAEGENDARY!
