I don't write many reviews, but for this miraculous product, I will. Here goes: After a dental appointment where the dentist told me quite gruffly that they could not do the cleaning or anything else because my gums were bleeding too much and that I had to go home and floss every day for a month before I could come back...I lapsed majorly in going to the dentist. In those intervening years (yes, years) I had two small babies. When I got pregnant with my first, my gums started bleeding when I brushed my teeth. I read it was a normal pregnancy symptom. But it never went away. My gums bled every time I brushed my teeth for YEARS. I knew I had to deal with it, but I developed a weird amount of anxiety around my teeth and the idea of going to the dentist and being told to leave again. I tried a few things (gentle flossing, special mouthwash) and nothing made a difference. My gums bled so much when I flossed that it freaked me out (and hurt a lot) so I wasn't consistent or thorough. It seemed like they'd just bleed and bleed if I kept brushing/flossing. Enter: the waterpik. OMG. So, the first time I used it, I noticed some bleeding but no pain or sensation that made me feel anxious. I brushed my teeth that night and was astonished my gums didn't bleed. Figured it was a fluke. A week later, my gums no longer bleed when using the waterpik or when brushing my teeth. I'm in love with this! This is my first water flosser purchase, so I wanted to make sure I got something that I'd be happy with. Around the same time, my husband and daughter both purchased off-brand water flossers, and they weren't nearly as satisfied. It was crazy to see the difference between this flosser and the others. For the life of me I don’t know why my dentist didn’t suggest this product for cleaning deep gum pockets, my gum soreness and swelling is like day and night, it really flushes out deep in those pockets, I had all around soreness to mild soreness in two areas by my right and left eye tooth , anyone that has the same problem that I have will be 110% satisfied with the outcome, just make sure you do it once in the morning and once before bed after a good brushing to remove the bacteria and follow with a antiseptic mouthwash and in a few days you’ll notice the difference. I plan on asking my dentist and hygienist next time I’m in that with all the advice they gave me on my deep pockets why they didn’t bring this up , all the YouTube videos from various dentists all recommended this product
