Works great at night and is very bright. I use it on duty and have no complaints other than battery life. It's convenient that it came with two batteries that I can recharge. Overall would recommend this light.

I have always liked flashlights for whatever odd reason. The brighter the better. I have many different ones and this definitely takes the cake. I have been a fan of Makita for a very long time. I took a chance on this one and man was I impressed. The spot and flood and spot flood combo are all amazing. I called my dad and told him. He bought one and was so impressed he bought all my sisters one as well. One of my sisters uses hers all the time. Another sisters husband uses it more than she does and the other sister probably doesn't even know where she put it last. Highly recommended. I use the 5ah battery and it lasts quite a while. I can't tell you how long exactly because I don't keep it on for hours at a time but you can if you need to. It works extremely well when the power goes out. Just shine it at the ceiling and it will light up an entire room better than my actual ceiling light.

I use this flashlight as a backup/secondary flashlight for police work. I keep a smaller streamlight on my vest for quick access, vehicle searches, or other small needs. This light is great when I know I’m going to be searching a larger area and need more “throw” of light. Nothing is worse then being in a dark area and your primary flashlight dies. Since this light lives in my patrol bag, it tends to be charged and ready when the other one dies. It’s the same quality as my other streamlights.
