The car was a good car for a first time car buyer. Fun to play with. I bought the 40mph car and didn’t go up to that speed. I also received a different remote control than advertised and was not in the instruction manual. Replacement parts are difficult to find. I ultimately ended up returning it and buying a more expensive car ($350) that is more well known and has replacement parts easily available. This car is definitely built cheaper and you can feel it. It lost a body clip and a knob after a small flip on grass. Overall it’s a good car if it’s not going to be driven a ton and for a first timer.
For someone whose a beginner it is a very well put together and durable RC. The quality of the RC Legend 1:10 was much better than I had thought it was going to be. The only issue that I do have with the Legend is that the the response of the control isn't very up to my standards.. When going from full throttle to reverse there is a big delay and for me to get it to reverse it seems like I have to come to a complete stop before it will start reverse. Most RC cars have touchy response and immediately break hard and most will spin the tires in reverse to stop the Rc as soon as possible. Also the battery isn't very long lasting. Definitely not as long as they claim but I was happy to find out that they supplied two batteries in the box. Beside those two things I recommend this car for even the novice Rc drivers.
The reason for the 4 stars is Because it will not do 30 mph out of the box. I got 22 mph out of the box on GPS. Put the trim tabs up all the way so they are flush with the hull and got 25mph. Now, if you put a 4S battery in the thing you are looking at close to 40 mph! Just keep an eye on ESC temps when running 4s. The boat is very smooth and Turns on a dime. Great first boat
