I bought this truck for my son for his 8th birthday. Right out of the box it looks great. I charged the batteries and drove it around the house to check it out and I was impressed. When I gave it to him I was amazed at how quickly he picked up driving it and it wasn't long before he was doing wheelies and jumps with it. Even my brother, who has had at least two Traxxas trucks and is almost never satisfied with anything, liked it. In fact, I think he drove it as much as my son did at his birthday party. I'll be interested to see how it holds up long term but I was impressed by the availability of replacement parts. I'll probably wind up saving up a little and getting myself one too so we can run them together. RC cars can be a very expensive addiction and I would definitely recommend this truck for anyone considering getting into it. It seems tough enough to really enjoy but also cheap enough to turn a kid loose with it without giving yourself a heart attack.
