My kid loves this thing, and actually I do too! Lots of fun!
I bought this for my 8 year old son and he absolutely loves it. The low speed mode is a big help with training and it still moves very well. After 2 days of driving, he whips it around over the driveway, grass and gravel. One of the great features, I feel, is the sealed compartment. I owned probably a dozen RC vehicles and my biggest gripe was cleaning them out. I wiped his off a little and it looks great again. The double battery definitely helps in the runtime area. He gets a good 40+ mins of run time. The only downside I see is the long charge periods, but that can easily be overcome with extra batteries and also helps them live longer. So maybe it is not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, I like the quality of the vehicle. The shocks are oil filled and there are ball bearings throughout. Of course, it is not as easily upgradable as the Traxxas or other brands models, but if you are looking for something simple, rugged and fun for your young kids to introduce them to the hobby, it is a great entry point. I can't wait to see his face when I put it on high speed mode. Try not to get caught up in the hype of top speed numbers from any of the RC vehicles. The enjoyment your child has driving it will be the greatest reward.
