This thing is fast! Loving the two speed modes with the slow speed still being quick. Fast mode lets you spin and drift and it's nuts. Very cool. Durability: On day two my son was driving this around in the parking lot and one of his friends, a tall 7 year old, rode his bicycle right over it, crushing the plastic cover. Plastic cover snapped back into place and the car still works beautiful, fiew! Quite impressed, and happy we didn't lose it then and there. The only subtle flaw is Reverse, it doesn't seem to like going into reverse. If you stop, wait 2 seconds and then reverse, it works, but forward motion does not have this limitation, you can be backing up and then take off in forward mode, but if you're moving forward, reverse doesn't kick in, it just makes the motor make an electric noise, I find I have to come to a full stop and only then go into reverse. Not a huge deal though, this thing is meant to be driven forward!

So tough. Jumped, smashed, abused by my dog and 4 year old. Still working like new without any flaws or maintenance. Fast and zippy controller easy enough to be used by my 4 year old. He just can't understand the double forward motion for reverse. Great product for any price.

The car was wicked right out of the gate. I followed the recommendations for break in and as time passed, it got faster and faster. Loads of power and great control and the steering response is tweakable with the the RC controller. I have about 1/4 acre back yard with plenty of obstacles for "training" including rocks, ramps and trees to avoid with a few dusty areas for "burn outs"...awesome! So I'm not an engineer but my first observation was battery life was "so so" even when coupling the 2 batteries together so I took a chance and bought two 7000mAh Lipo batteries off Amazon which work well. Or at least work until the heat protection circuit of the car kicks in and brings everything to a halt. It's worth getting extra batteries and maybe a second car when the first one overheats. I modified my car by putting some brackets in the mid-body to hold a strap and keep the large heavy battery in place (see above). There is a relatively "safe" area to put in some small screws to hold these brackets and secure a strap. I also bought a bunch of stickers to adorn the body. My kids had fun putting them on!!...hehe.
