Love this bag! It's the perfect size for a full day of hiking. I always recommend getting a backpack with hip support as it will almost completely take the weight off your back. The size fits perfectly. It holds my raincoat, 3 small food/snack containers, first aid kit, battery pack, bug spray, sunscreen, and other small essentials. Don't forget it comes with a 3 liter hydration bladder! It holds just enough water for a 5 hour hike.

On the trail, this pack does a great job. The suspension is amazing on this pack and it's super comfortable. I also found the suspension to be overall quite breathable but I did have some moisture accumulation in mild weather with a thick sweater. The hip belt covers a large range and is complete with pockets on both sides. I haven't had any snag issues with the pack's many zippers but I do wish that the back compartment had two zippers instead of one. It seems that I am always fumbling on the right side of the pack looking for a zipper that is actually located on the left. It can also be a bit cumbersome with a fully loaded pack to go digging for the single zipper and zip it around the entire zipper length until reaching its final resting place. Having two zippers and making them meet where it is most convenient would save a bit of time and sweat when closing a stuffed pack. With roomy hip belt pouches, dual water bottle pockets and a spacious main compartment, this pack in theory could work well for ultralight backpacking. The only issue is there is not a clear space for stowing a sleeping mat. I wish it had straps at the bottom of the pack to loop around and fasten a sleeping mat.
