Update- this rc deserves 10 stars. I've purchased 2 more, but not because the 1st two failed. They are still fully functional. I bought a second one for spare parts, but still havent needed to use either as a parts car. and I bought the 3rd for my son. And ill buy him a second one for him too very soon.- I dunno if it's faster than it is durable, or if it's more durable than it is fast. But This thing is fast! And like with anything that is fast, crashes will come along with the speed. This RC car has taken crashes like a champ. Almost immediately, at full speed, it hit a full trash can sitting alongside the road. It was a loud thump and Dead stop. I thought, "well... I just broke it".. But nope. It started going again as if nothing ever happened. Coming down out of a parking garage, full speed down the ramp, it hit a bump awkwardly and that sent it into a longs series of flips the rest of the way down the ramp, to the street where it landed on its roof and slid the rest of the way across the street. I bet it flipped atleast 10 times. But once i put it back on its wheels, i noticed it had lost a body clip. Aside from that, this little rc car was instantly zipping around again at full speed.... without even so much as steering alignment being outta wack. This car's durability basically defies the laws of physics, in my opinion. 'With every action comes an equal and opposite reaction' does not apply to this RC car. I would
This thing is incredible. Fast, rugged and sensitive. Bought this as a “father/son” hobby. We broke it out of the package this morning and could hardly wait for the batteries to charge. Once charged, we immediately got to ripping around the yard and terrorizing the dogs. If my sons head wasn’t attached, it would have fallen off as he was laughing so hard. Even at eight years old, he was able to maneuver and master this quickly. We have some concerns: you must be an engineer to manage to get two batteries connected inside the battery compartment at the same time. Clearly I’m far from being an engineer as I spent the better part of 10 minutes trying to manage this. After 10 minutes, we just put one battery in and started playing. The battery charger seems pretty basic. Based on a lot of the battery reviews, we’ll likely upgrade the charger (it’s no more than a cable and a USB wall plug) to an actual hobby level charger. The cotter pins that hold the body on are difficult but manageable. Not something my son can do without a tool. First impressions are tough to beat. And this thing has truly won both of us. Both batteries lasted about 20+ minutes at half power through a mix of grass, leaves and some crusted snow. It’s on the pricier side of entry level cars, but we certainly aren’t disappointed and look forward to lots of hours with this.
I really don’t like the esc response time and I really with it came with a brushless motor those things being said the esc does work and so does the brushed motor that comes with it. Has great torque and a battery that does quit so hats off to a great truck especially for the price.
