Best thing since sliced bread? Maybe not, but sure puts one self to rest after a power outage from floods. My first one bought in late 80's giving out couple years ago. Bought this one to replace, is working fine since.
Instructions how to use needs to be more explicit. They are very vague

Disposal is pretty quit. The worst and hardest part is trying to to put the retaining ring back on to secure it. This is where you need a second pair of hands or may be a 50lb weight on top to keep it in place while you put the ring on?
Even though it is a bit costly, it works very well and does exactly what it is intended to do. A couple weeks after install it had the opportunity to work as we lost power for over an hour. It handled the situation with a breeze not missing a beat keeping my sump running. The only reason for 4 star is it is a bit noisy when it kicks in. The fan is loud and runs immediately upon the call for power to the sump. But being in a "sump room", it isn't terrible in the rest of the house.
