I bought it for myself (I'm 35) because I've been wanting one for years but didn't want to spend the crazy money on a Traxxas. Definitely a wonderful entry-level rc. Upgradable parts are easily available for when you want to step up your rc game. Runs really well with 3s lipo batteries, increases the speed 10 fold. Highly recommend buying for your kids to get them outside, or rip it around your house if you have the room. It's really fun to drift around on hard floors and do doughnuts. GET IT!!!!
This truck is a beast, hands down, but I've run into a problem. First and foremost, I think these laegendary trucks are fantastic. I have the 1/16 sonic and recently bought the thunder. The thunder is more advanced, the programmable ESC is pretty cool. The problem I've run into is the wheels that came with the truck. 3 of the 4 were warped. To be fair, I got the truck from Amazon, not laegendary directly. Not sure if sitting in a warehouse for a while in varying temperatures could have warped the wheels. Stepping up to a 3s battery made the problem worse as it wore out the axles and bearings really fast. Once again, to be fair, the booklet that came with the truck states that you need to maintain the truck. Living the moving parts is key. This thing is insane with the 3s batteries, but you've got to stay on top of the maintenance. I'm replacing the axles, bearings and wheels. Everything, besides the wheels and tires will come from laegendary. It's a great product, but you've gotta keep it maintained. For the money and everything it came with, it's a great deal I think. Like a race car,you have to stay on top of it,especially with a vehicle like this.

This truck is a blast and can hall the mail (VERY FAST), my daughters boy friend has a similar truck, and the reason for wanting to buy one... I did not know there were so many, but I am extremely happy with the Legendary, not only how fast it is, but being a newbie it has also shown how unbelievably durable it is as well, I mean you definitely would not like to be in the passenger seat on some of the crashes my truck has been in... We are talking going through ruts and hitting the kids BMX jumps sideways at about 30 I could not count all the flips, but the last flip put it right back on all four tires, and I hardly slowed down before the next jump... This truck is Legendary! Still runs like the day I got it, just a couple extra scratches on it but that was just to cut the weight down a bit HA-HA... GO GET ONE you won't be sorry... I just need to know where I can get lights for it so I can run at night...? ANYONE
