Can’t speak for longevity because we just recently purchased this. Our first use was beyond our expectations! With the 1 1/2 attachment and hose (purchased separately) our dirty pond (about 1200 gallons) was drained in about 10 minutes with no problems or clogs. Would recommend.

Got 2 to replace old pumps. This is surprisingly powerful for how small it is. The only drawback is it will torque itself when it kicks on. If using for long term you will need to go back and make regular adjustments because of how much it torques and moves out of place then ended up locking itself in the on position. We ended up needing to hang ours 1 inch off the ground and it isn't giving us any trouble. Little buggers are definitely paying themselves off. When the rainy season was at its peak, little guys were going almost all night staying ahead of the overflow of water. We added an additional 24 foot hose and had to pump water 5 feet up then out. This was next to the pump, watched the source and there was little to no water coming back down the hose to the pump. It's getting 4 stars cause of how many adjustment we had to make to find the right solution to avoid it getting stuck on.

This product has only been installed now you about two weeks. I hope it will last a long time and work well.
