I love hats and have many. Straw hats often blow off in the beach breeze or wind on a boat. I bought this hat at a local dock store five years ago, and have worn it near daily in each subsequent summer. The crown is so deep that it doesn't ever blow off my head, even on the boat! It does have a chin strap, but I have rarely used it, because the hat fits so well and rides so low. I receive complements on my hat from men and women wherever I go, and I'm over 65! Usually, I'm told I know how to wear a hat, and that is because it fits correctly. It comes down over my forehead to just above my eyes. It's not a hat to sit on the back of your head, unless it's too small. It's a huge splurge, but if you want a "go-to" hat for warm weather, this is your ticket. Look no further!

A wide-brimmed hat is always good for travel. Keeps the sun out of your eyes and packs easily flat.
